2009 is not off to a good start. I'm fighting off some odd infection but doing a poor job of it. It started Sunday, with my sinuses acting up. Eyes watering. Nose running. On Monday, the burning started. I'd have to squint at times and rub my thumbs in my eye sockets. Tuseday, it turned into pain. Like a headache in my face. Everything below my eyebrows and above my chin HURT. It felt like I'd been punched in the face all night. No blood or swelling, just the ache close to my bones. I went to the medical clinic at work, for some help. Since nothing I sneezed up was discolored, but my sinsuses were running like a faucet, the nurse thought I was having an allergic reaction of some sort. She gave me a shot "in the hip" of cortisone. And some antibiotics. But Tuesday I developed a cough. And last night I woke myself up coughing. My usual lack of sleep compounded with half a night of choking did not go over too well. Today has been a complete waste as a result. No energy. No drive. No desire to do anything.
Fortunately Cindy and the kids aren't sick. Just me.Hopefully I'm over the worst of it. On the road to recovery. And a more pleasant New Year.
